A long, wild beach north of Ferrel, east of Baleal, with cliffs reaching onto the sand. The name comes from almagre, a reddish clay found in the cliffs. It is reached along dirt tracks and has no facilities. At low tide rocks are exposed where people gather limpets and mussels and catch octopus. It is used by surfers, anglers and people looking for a quieter alternative to Baleal. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
