About the beach
A beach at the western end of the Ria Formosa, inside the Natural Park, with salt marsh, stone pine and cork oak woodland, and a broad dune field with typical sand-dune flora. The dunes must be crossed on the walkways. The final approach is about 1.5 km of dirt track, with informal parking. It has restaurants, toilets, beach services, lifeguards in the bathing season, and is a designated accessible beach.
