About the beach
The beach of Vila Chã, the only parish in Vila do Conde that still has a fishing industry; fishing boats are a common sight at the northern end of the sand. It has a long stretch of sand where the Gatas stream flows out, with rocky outcrops and a submerged reef running along the beach, so visitors unfamiliar with the spot should take care. The bathing water also includes the Congreira, Pucinho and São Paio/Moreiró beaches.
