About the beach
A rural beach with a long stretch of sand bounded by rocky outcrops and a consolidated line of dunes, surrounded by farmland. It is part of the Praia Acessível 2026 programme. The water was rated Excellent, but in 2025 the APA recorded 8 days on which bathing was advised against or prohibited because of short-term pollution, linked mainly to the River Onda, which flows into the sea to the south.
