About the beach

The beach of the fishing village of Olhos de Água, named after the freshwater springs that rise from the sand, visible at low tide at the eastern end. The limestone cliffs form sea stacks, caves, arches and small sheltered coves, with marine life on the rocks. It is a busy village beach, with fishing boats on the sand. It has restaurants, toilets, lifeguards in the bathing season, and is a designated accessible beach.
