Praia da Falésia, by Olhos de Água in the municipality of Albufeira, is part of a continuous stretch of sand almost 6 km long, backed by tall red and white cliffs topped with stone pines. To the west the cliff is soft sand and clay, deeply gullied by rain; further east it gradually drops. Two zones have facilities and lifeguards, Açoteias and Alfamar, each with parking 250–300 m from the sand. A short walk along the beach takes you to quieter stretches. Falésia Beach faces south-west, has a bathing season from 15 May to 15 October and a MEO webcam.
