About the beach

In Leça da Palmeira, by Avenida da Liberdade, Fuzelhas beach forms a small bay between two clusters of rocks, the larger northern one shaping a little headland. Sheltered and very rocky, it reveals small rock pools at low tide. There are sunshades for hire, a bar, toilets, an amphibious wheelchair and free parking. The same bathing water takes in Praia dos Beijinhos, near the Leça lighthouse, named after the 'beijinhos' cowrie shells once common there. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
