About the beach

Praia Azul, also known as Conchinha, is a small cove in Leça da Palmeira ringed by shell-shaped rocks, on Avenida da Liberdade between Boa Nova and Aterro beaches. The sea can be lively and the council asks bathers to follow the safety instructions. In the bathing season it has lifeguards, a restaurant, toilets, showers and free parking; Unir buses 5001 and 5017 serve it. It holds a Blue Flag in 2026. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
