Dona Ana Beach (Praia de Dona Ana) is in Lagos, on the Costa d'Oiro, the lacework of coves between Praia da Batata and Ponta da Piedade. It is a sheltered cove of clean sand between cliffs, with blue-green water and sculpted rocks that rise from the sea and spill across the beach. The only way down is a long, winding staircase from the clifftop, and Lagos council regulates what can be carried on it. In the bathing season there are lifeguards, beach facilities and a bar. Lagos is about 25 minutes away on foot, and the Onda Azul bus stops at the beach.

Good to know
- A footpath runs along the clifftop from Dona Ana to Praia do Pinhão, halfway between Lagos and Ponta da Piedade.
- Bodyboards and skimboards can go down the stairs at any time; surfboards, SUPs and kayaks only before 9am or after 7pm in the bathing season (fines of €55–€550).
- There is no MEO Beachcam webcam at Dona Ana; around Lagos, the network's cameras are at Meia Praia and Praia da Luz.
