Praia da Luz is the beach of Luz, a village in the municipality of Lagos. Its soft sand is framed by the cliff topped with a survey marker and by the white houses of the old fishing village. The beach has two distinct parts: one of fine, pale sand and another of rocks, with palm trees in the backdrop. There are beach facilities and lifeguards in the bathing season, and Lagos council describes it as accessible to people with reduced mobility.
