About the beach

Praia da Fonte da Telha sits south of the Costa de Caparica, in a section further removed from the main access points, which results in lower visitor numbers and greater tranquillity during the summer months. Water quality is Excellent. The beach is continuous with the extensive Caparica coastline, with the same Atlantic swell but without the density of the northern zones. The Mata Nacional dos Medos, which borders the access routes, is a dune forest that reinforces the natural character of this part of the coast. An alternative for those who want Caparica with more beach space per person.
