About the beach
A beach in the parish of Budens, west of Praia da Salema. You leave the car about 800 to 900 m away and walk the rest along a narrow path through a green valley of pine woods, fig and olive orchards and limestone outcrops with caves. The sand, with plenty of pebbles, is bounded by warm-coloured cliffs and, to the east, by the ruins of an old fort. It is a quiet, little-visited beach with no facilities. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
