About the beach

A small shell-shaped beach with about 60 m of golden sand in the Southwest Alentejo and Vicentine Coast Natural Park. The bay, with generally calm, clear water, is bounded to the west by a broad limestone pavement and to the east by high, indented cliffs that give wide views along the coast. The extensive underwater rock formations attract divers. The way in crosses cereal fields dotted with menhirs. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
