About the beach
The beach of the fishing village of Salema, with more than 1 km of sand framed by ochre cliffs. Its central section works as a fishing harbour, with boats and fishing gear on the sand. Dinosaur footprints around 140 million years old can be seen in the cliffs. It has a seafront promenade, restaurants, toilets, lifeguards in the bathing season, and is a designated accessible beach (Praia Acessível).
