About the beach
Pebble beach at the foot of the Cabo Girão cliffs, west of Câmara de Lobos, inside the Cabo Girão protected area and marine natural park. The fajã is farmed and is reached by the Rancho cable car, which runs down from the top of the cliff, where there is also a restaurant; before the cable car it could only be reached by boat or rock paths. The 2026 Portaria lists this bathing water from 1 May to 27 September, with no guaranteed lifeguard cover. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
