Small bathing complex on Funchal's western seafront, between the Lido and Praia Formosa, also known as Poças do Gomes. It has shallow natural pools in volcanic rock and stairs down to the sea, plus showers, toilets, changing rooms and a snack bar; published opening hours are 10am to 6pm and it is run by Frente MarFunchal. The 2026 Portaria lists it as a lifeguarded bathing beach from 1 June to 15 September. Bathing was banned for a time in July 2022 because of pollution. Water quality was rated Poor in 2025.
