A bathing complex beside the Passeio Público Marítimo seafront promenade, in Funchal's tourist area, with almost a century of history. There is no sand: instead it offers a large sunbathing area and two saltwater pools, one of them for children. It is open all year, has lifeguard supervision and provides lifts, ramps and amphibious chairs for people with reduced mobility.
