About the beach

Bathing complex on Câmara de Lobos bay, east of the town centre, opened in 2004 on a rocky stretch of coast where salt was once extracted. It has two saltwater pools, one for adults and one for children, changing rooms, toilets, a snack bar, sun loungers and parasols. The seafront promenade links it to central Câmara de Lobos and Praia Formosa. The 2026 Portaria lists it as a lifeguarded bathing beach from 1 June to 6 September. Water quality was rated Good in 2025.
