About the beach
Bathing area on the Aguieira reservoir on the River Mondego, about 2 km downstream of the mouth of the River Dão, in the parish of Pinheiro de Ázere. On higher ground above the shore stands the Senhora da Ribeira chapel, moved stone by stone from the old village submerged by the dam. The municipality mentions good visitor facilities, and the site often hosts sports competitions.
