About the beach

River beach on the River Alva, a tributary of the Mondego, between the villages of Hombres and Laborins. A small weir holds back the water, and the site has sand and lawns, a bar, a picnic area and a large car park; a 2025 upgrade added footbridges and a sunbathing deck. The PR6 'Rota do Pão' (Bread Route) walking trail passes through.
