About the beach

A river beach on the left bank of the Vouga, in a green valley, where the swimming area is formed by the Grela weir at the start of the 'Rio Vouga' Natura 2000 site. It holds the Blue Flag and the Accessible Beach award, with ramps and reserved parking for people with reduced mobility, and lifeguard cover during the bathing season. There is canoe hire, a restaurant, and the Vouga greenway a few metres away.
