Sheltered bay between rocks at the eastern tip of the long Alvor beach, which runs for about 7 km. To the east the jagged limestone cliffs begin, with small caves and precariously balanced boulders where care is advised; at low tide you can walk along the little coves. It has a lifeguard, sunshade and sun-lounger hire, showers, parking, a bar and restaurant, a Blue Flag and the Praia Acessível 2026 award.
