Praia dos Pescadores is Albufeira's town beach, right in front of the old town and just east of Praia do Peneco. It has a frontage of about 120 metres below cliffs topped by houses, and part of the sand is still kept for fishing boats; its eastern end is bounded by the pier. Access from the centre is easy, with steps, ramps and a panoramic lift. In the bathing season it has lifeguards, showers, plenty of places to eat nearby, and bathing equipment and assistance for people with reduced mobility (Accessible Beach 2026). In 2025 bathing was advised against on 5 days because of short-term pollution. Water quality was rated Good in 2025.
