About the beach
A small cove of golden sand, about 150 m long, surrounded by low cliffs heavily sculpted by rain and waves, with sinkholes, arches and galleries. Three large rock stacks rise from the water, giving it its other name, Três Penecos. Salt-tolerant plants grow on the ledges, with pine woods and dwarf fan palms around. To the east you can see the white and red cliffs of Falésia. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
