About the beach
A cove of sand and small stones west of Sesimbra, at the foot of a valley between the cliffs of the Arrábida Natural Park. No road reaches it: leave the car on the dirt track that carries on past Sesimbra's fishing harbour and walk down a path of about 1 km (15 to 20 minutes), steep in its final stretch; boat and kayak trips also run from Sesimbra. There are no facilities or bins, so bring water and take your rubbish home. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
