A small shell of sand west of Carvoeiro village, about 300 m from Praia do Carvoeiro, wedged between tall cliffs. You reach it along the Estrada do Paraíso, which climbs the cliff from Carvoeiro, and then down a long, narrow, winding staircase to the sand, which feels like a rock pool. For facilities and a lifeguard, neighbouring Praia do Carvoeiro is an official bathing water with a designated swimming beach. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
