About the beach

Praia do Carvalhal is on the coastal edge of the Grândola region, between pine trees and low dunes that come close to the edge of the sandy beach. Water quality is Excellent. It is an Alentejo coastal beach in the full sense: long, with pale sand, few built elements on the front line and a quiet atmosphere that persists even during the busiest months. The dune vegetation and the pine forest that borders the access routes create a natural corridor leading to the ocean — an arrival ritual that is part of the experience of the beach.
