About the beach
A beach framed by a fossil cliff with rock formations around five million years old, a landscape unlike the low, dune-lined coast further north in the municipality of Grândola. The sand is reached by ramps next to the campsite. It has lifeguards, parking and a bar. In 2025 the Portuguese Environment Agency (APA) classed public access to this beach as controlled and conditioned by tourist developments.
