About the beach
A small cove on Porto Santo's north coast, by the end of the airport runway and the mouth of the Ribeira do Perril, with rocks, some yellow sand and natural pools that form mainly at low tide. It can only be reached on foot, down a steep dirt track with loose stones. There is no lifeguard, toilets or showers; there are picnic tables and barbecue spots.
