Praia da Senhora da Rocha is in Porches, in the municipality of Lagoa. Bounded to the east by a high cliff, its sand is shared with the boats and fishing gear of the local fishing harbour. To the west, the Nossa Senhora da Rocha headland separates it from Praia Nova, reached through a tunnel cut into the rock. On top stands the chapel, listed as a Property of Public Interest, with views along the coast as far as Albufeira. Local fishing boats also take visitors to the sea caves nearby. The beach faces south-east and is lifeguarded during the bathing season.
