A beach in Porches just west of the Nossa Senhora da Rocha chapel, with about 300 m of sand below a continuous line of ochre and red cliffs that still show the scars of past rockfalls. You get there by a steep staircase halfway along the beach or through a hand-dug tunnel, about 60 m long, that cuts through the Senhora da Rocha headland from the neighbouring beach; marine fossils are set in its walls. In the bathing season it is a designated swimming beach with a lifeguard. The 2026 bathing-water order lists it as a restricted-use beach. Water quality was rated Excellent in 2025.
