A wide beach of golden sand contrasting with the dark rock of the cliffs, with an abandoned windmill at its northern end. At low tide you can walk along the shore to neighbouring Polvoeira beach. Popular with surfers, especially in winter; the southern stretch has safer water for swimming. It lies off the Estrada Atlântica between Pataias and São Pedro de Moel.
