A natural beach in Afife with about 1 km of fine-to-medium, quartz-rich sand backed by a dune system. It lies on the Viana do Castelo–Caminha coastal long-distance trail and within the Natura 2000 network (Litoral Norte). Surfing and bodyboarding have put it among the busiest beaches in northern Portugal, and recreational fishing is also practised. It has flown the Blue Flag since 1996.
