A small estuary beach at the foot of Ferragudo, on the east bank of the Arade river, north of the São João do Arade fort. The shape of the sand shifts with the mouth of the stream that flows in here, and it looks across the river to Portimão and its marina. It is the village beach of this old fishing community, and since 2022 it has had an outdoor street-workout park. South of the fort lies Praia Grande de Ferragudo, an official bathing water with a lifeguard in season. It is not an official bathing water: the water is not tested and there is no lifeguard.
