About the beach

A bathing area in the town of Ribeira Grande combining open-sea swimming over sand and basalt slabs with a pool complex: a 25 m pool, a diving pool, a children's pool and a baby pool. It has a bar, restaurant, showers and parking and is on the 2026 Accessible Beach list. In July 2026 the pools closed temporarily over water problems; beach access remained open.
