About the beach
A bathing area beside the Olhos d'Água spring of the River Alviela, at Louriceira, one of the most important karst springs in Portugal, which supplied Lisbon via the Alviela Aqueduct. The Alviela Ciência Viva Centre is next door. There is shade, toilets, a children's playground, a picnic area, a café-restaurant, a large car park, a campsite and walking trails nearby.
