About the beach

River beach on the Alge stream, between two tall rock cliffs, about a 15-minute walk from the schist village of Casal de São Simão. The cliffs have equipped climbing routes. There is a bar, a picnic area, toilets, parking and access ramps. Note: the water was classified as poor ('Má') in 2024 and 2025; check local bathing advice before swimming.
