About the beach

Small town beach on the Costa da Caparica seafront, set between pale stone groynes with a raised promenade behind it. It shares its bathing water with neighbouring Praia do Dragão Vermelho. Like the other town beaches it has lifeguards and takes its name from the cafés on it; Turismo de Portugal lists surfing and bodyboarding along this stretch. Bathing assistance equipment and staff are available for people with reduced mobility. Water quality rated Excellent in 2025; Blue Flag and Praia Acessível (accessible beach) awards in 2026.
