The beach is well proportioned and enjoys generous sunshine throughout the day — characteristics that make it popular during the summer. The low cliffs bordering the beach provide some wind shelter and frame it visually in a pleasant way. It is one of the beaches in the Albufeira area that combines easy accessibility with a more defined natural character than the city's urban beaches.
