About the beach

A white-sand beach about 1.2 km long on the south bank of the Minho river mouth, next to the Spanish border, bounded by a line of dunes and with a river frontage at its northern end; the water is transitional, influenced by the river and the tide. The Ínsua Fort can be seen 400 m offshore, and the Camarido National Forest lies alongside. It is part of the Praia Acessível 2026 programme.
