About the beach

The only sandy beach on Corvo and the island's main bathing area, on the south coast, with dark sand of volcanic origin and some rounded pebbles. Its clear water is popular for swimming and diving, in an open-sea setting with high exposure. According to the Azores Nature Parks, it has good access, including for people with reduced mobility.
