About the beach
A small bathing area at the foot of a cliff about 60 m high, at the south-western end of the Faial da Terra valley, on the south coast of São Miguel. The shore mixes rounded pebbles and sand and the bathing area is open sea, with high exposure. It has a slipway down to the water and has held the Blue Flag every season from 2017 to 2025.
