About the beach

A natural pool with concrete access and a direct connection to the sea, in the parish of São Roque, east of central Ponta Delgada. The open-sea bathing area, with a basalt-slab bottom, is bounded to the south by a protective sea wall and is highly exposed. It has changing facilities and held the Blue Flag every season from 2017 to 2025.
