The bathing area of the town of Madalena, on Pico, with a natural rock pool and an artificial saltwater pool, both with concrete access, plus open-sea bathing over a basalt-slab seabed. It is exposed to the swell. Its water was rated excellent every year from 2015 to 2023 except 2016 (good).
