About the beach
A river beach on the right bank of the Mondego, downstream of the Caldeirão dam, in the Serra da Estrela Natural Park, in a rural setting with trees and shade. It has a lawn and sunbathing area, a 14-metre pool, a water slide, pedalos, a picnic area with barbecues, a bar, a children's playground, a sports pitch and parking. The council states the bathing area is accessible to people with reduced mobility.
