About the beach

A small cove sheltered by cliffs in São João do Estoril, just east of Poça beach. It can only be reached on foot, down a staircase from the seafront promenade, which connects to São João do Estoril railway station. During the bathing season (1 May to 30 September) there are lifeguards, a first-aid post, toilets and showers, but no beach bar and no parking of its own. The APA flags a risk of rockfalls from the cliff, so do not settle at its base. Water quality was rated Good in 2025.
