About the beach

A river beach on the Maranhão reservoir, part of the Avis Nautical Club complex, in a spot sheltered from the wind with a gentle slope. It is popular for swimming and water sports such as rowing, canoeing, sailing, windsurfing and stand-up paddleboarding, as well as fishing. It has lifeguard cover, showers, parking, a café and restaurant with terrace, a picnic area and a children's playground, and is on the Praia Acessível list.
